Every so often, God helps us to refocus.
Especially when we wander off the path toward Him.
Sometimes He speaks gently – and if our attentions are elsewhere, we may miss the message.
In other instances, His directive can land right smack between the eyes.
In today’s Jesus Calling, Sarah Young’s words set me straight:
The most direct path between point A and point B on your life-journey is the path of unwavering trust in God.
It would be SO much easier if, when we get diverted, God could command our attention with a text message or a headline that would appear immediately.
- Whoa…Are you sure you should be thinking/doing that?
- Really??? What happened to your commitment and resolve?
- Maybe you should see that situation/person through My eyes…
We are often reminded to speak (or think) the Truth in Love.
But I often forget that God always has the most loving, honest, and perfect missives for all of us.
…If we can only be open to receive them.
I believe my quest to be wholehearted requires not just a sometimes trust – but an always trust.
What about an occasional Tweet from God:
#TrustMeAlone#alloflife
Or, technology could one day develop a pulsing LED thought stream continually visible to the eye – like Google glasses. (I for one, would love that idea.)
…trust Him…trust Him…trust Him…trust Him…trust Him…
Has your faith and hope in God been off in a corner somewhere, hidden under the cover of distraction, worry or fear?
Do whatever it takes to retrieve it.
Dust it off.
Make it a vital part of each and every day.
Imbed it in your heart.
It’s a MUST…
Teach me your ways, O Lord; make them known to me. Teach me to live according to your truth, for you are my God, who saves me. I always trust in you. ~Psalm 25:4-5 (GNT)

Let your words be anything but empty. Why don’t you tell them the truth?~From the beautiful song Brave by Sarah Bareilles (with thanks to my sweet friend Lauren)
